Sarah Owens

Sarah Owens

Voice / Piano / Choir

Sarah Owens is a piano and vocal prophetic music minister, worship leader, and composer. She wrote her first song as a teen and has since completed over Twenty powerfully gripping songs. Sarah's compositions have a strong emphasis on God's salvation message. Sarah's concerts and worship services cause hope and peace to reign in people's hearts. Since 2001, Sarah has experience teaching workshops on releasing the prophetic in worship, songwriting, and vocal techniques. She created a written guide to breathing exercises for the beginning vocalist entitled, "Breathe!"

Even before Sarah was born, friends and family felt that she would bring music to this world. Her father was a vocal recording artist from the Jazz, Big Band, and Swing era of the 1920's - 1970's. He recorded with Tommy Dorsey and Randy Brooks, appeared in musicals and worked among artists such as Frank Sinatra, Benny Goodman, and Tony Bennet. In walking her own journey, Sarah discovered that the music she had in her heart and soul came from God and that He would have her sing of redemption and great mercy. This Godly legacy, which brought many sacrifices of praise, has led Sarah into fulfillment beyond that of her late father.

When she graduated from high school, Sarah received a full vocal scholarship to attend the University of Central Arkansas and John Brown University. She placed 7th in a national talent competition with over a thousand entries for her vocal ability and her song writing. She is currently the worship leader at her church and the annual Joy Conference, as well as teaching piano and voice at the Institute of Music Worship and the Arts.
